The Good

The bad &

the ugly

He was called Numb Nut, now he is Norman!

Norman lived his life on a chain in Lodge Grass to protect the property. Either in front of the house chained to a tree with no shelter or even a blanket to lay on. Residents were upset, gave food and a blanket, but the winter 24/25 was brutal. Later the year he was moved to the back and tied up to an old F150 junker on a 6' chain. Every single day he was attacked by passing by dog packs, just for the fun of it. His only friend and companion were the females the owner had in between. There was Treasure, she and her puppies vanished magically one day. And then there was Tiger,  a gentle Pittbull Mix with a limp, but she defended Norman every day.

We had worked to get Tiger surrendered for her limp. What followed was a good conversation with the owners brother that resulted also in the surrender of this gorgeous Husky Mix. We had no space for him, so we contacted Freckles & Tomcat Rescue in Hardin, MT and Eshan said yes without hesitation.

So on April 30th 2026 'NumbNut' was free'd of his chain and we brought him to Hardin. What a sweet boy he was. Not knowing what is going to happen to him, but instinct probably assured him that it can just get better from now on. Once out of the truck he dragged me over to a green lush patch of grass where he did his business, free, on clean grass, not having to look over his shoulder. We are so happy for him and FaT will find him an exceptionel loving home he deserves.
